Bajaj Foundation Chairman Shishir Bajaj Along With Governor Of Maharashtra Felicitated 44 Prestigious CSR Award Winners At Navbharat Group’s CSR Awards Ceremony – GARVI GUJARAT

Mumbai, 4th February. Bajaj Group Trustee and Bajaj Foundation Chairman Shishir Bajaj attended the prestigious ceremony of Navbharat CSR Summit and Awards, 2025 as a special guest, where along with Maharashtra Governor Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, he felicitated 44 prestigious CSR award winners for their remarkable contribution towards the direction of developed India.

111 1In his special address at this important ceremony organized at the auditorium of ITC Grand Maratha, Parel, Mumbai on Tuesday, 4th February 2025, Shri Bajaj highlighted the remarkable work done by Bajaj Foundation in Wardha, Sikar and Lalitpur in the last 15 years. He emphasized on the need to work with the Maharashtra government and rural communities to address the serious issue of farmer suicides through water conservation and other developmental activities. The major work done by Bajaj Foundation in the last 15 years has benefited more than 5 lakh families in more than 1,750 villages of Wardha, Sikar and Lalitpur and improved the lives of more than 22 lakh people.

222 2250 rivers have been revived, 130 check dams have been constructed and 8,000 farm ponds have been developed, irrigating 3.5 lakh acres of agricultural land and benefiting more than 1 lakh families. Apart from this, 1.25 lakh farmers have been trained in Subhash Palekar Agriculture (Natural Farming), as a result of which 1.6 lakh acres of land has become chemical free and farmers are fulfilling their daily needs from the farm. He informed that more than 4,500 Self Help Groups (SHGs) have been formed, which have improved the livelihood of more than 56,000 families and women and youth have been motivated to increase their income through rural enterprises.

333 2In addition, more than 6,000 biogas plants have been set up and more than 4,000 solar units have been installed. Under the Design for Change program, more than 700 projects are being carried out in about 500 schools to encourage the thinking of finding solutions to their problems in the younger generation. At the end of his address, Mr. Bajaj spoke about the immense potential of India’s natural and human resources. He underlined the importance of cooperation and partnership and said that together we can make India stronger and golden. He said that in line with the vision of a developed India envisioned by our honorable Prime Minister Narendra Modi, now is the time for all of us to cooperate with each other and realize the dream of a developed and golden India. A large number of prominent representatives of the country’s corporate world attended this grand ceremony.
